This hotel is called the Driskill and it is in Austin, TX.  It was built by some tycoon back in the late 1800s.  Don’t see too many old buildings like that around Austin.  It is crazy to think that when this was built, Texas was just recently removed from a place of wild Indians and adventurous settlers.  It was really a wild frontier back then.  Not far from this hotel, a man was scalped, but survived, and his brother went on to write a book detailing travesties committed by Indians on

ture of this hotel, and thought it was really cool as it reminded me of old time Austin, and how things were long ago.  You don’t get to see that kind of thing as much in the Southwest as you do on the East Coast.
